Grand Prairie Home Upstairs Sink Floods First Floor Kitchen
A leaky sink in an upstairs bathroom caused water damage to the adjacent closet and more importantly the kitchen directly below in this Grand Prairie home. The closet carpet and pad had to be removed along with all baseboards in that area. The kitchen experienced water luckily coming directly down through the ceiling and onto the floor. The cabinetry was thankfully spared. A 2'x2' hole was cut in the ceiling along with other small ventilation holes being placed. There was not any insulation to be removed in this case. Air movers and dehumidifiers were placed to dry out the structure. SERVPRO of Dallas Central had the structure dry and ready for repair in 4 days.
