Hardwood Floors in Oak Cliff Home Buckled & are Removed
SERVPRO of Dallas Central was called to an Oak Cliff home after water from an upstairs bathroom flowed down to the first floor dining room. The beautiful hardwoods buckled and had to be removed. The waterlogged baseboards were first removed and small ventilation holes made in the drywall. Next, air movers and dehumifiers were placed to bring down the humidity and dry out the structure. Once thoroughly dried, the hardwoods were removed using special floor pulling tools ...and hard work. The black felt paper on top of the subfloor was removed next and as a final prep before the flooring team comes to reinstall the wood floor, we removed all the nails to leave a clean surface.
